Special Topics in Curriculum Design I
Recently I attended a Learning Team Meeting, where other third grade teachers and myself reflected on our students' reading progress and ways to develop their reading skills. We had just finished reviewing reading diagnostic scores as well as their Reading Running Record scores. Based on this data, our students need more intensive reading instruction. Although I have training in Leveled Literacy Intervention, I would like to expand on my instructional knowledge and build my teacher toolbox. My professiona goal for this year is to complete more training that will help me to understand the reading standards being presented to students as well as new methods of delivering effective instruction.
